The following candidates were declared elected to Towong Shire Council by the Election Manager, Lynne Tickell, yesterday at the Corryong Shire offices:-
David Wortmann, Andrew Whitehead (current Mayor), Denise Anderson, Jon Pitman, Peter Tolsher.
Mr Pitman was elected to council for the first time while former councillor Peter Tolsher returns after not standing for re-election in 2020.
Sitting councillor, Aaron Scales, was not re-elected and first-time candidate Matthew Spurgeon did not gain a seat.
The councillors will represent their community on Towong Shire Council until the next general council election in October 2028.
